Part of the process of launching a new podcast is about getting permission to air. In order to share a podcast with the world, you need to submit an episode or trailer to apple.com for their vetting before going public. I’m not sure if it’s a gatekeeping mechanism or a quality control device, but a couple of weeks ago we had to publish a trailer in order to be considered by Apple, for the future of the podcast.
Of course we got the green light, but a few days of worry were had, as if they had said no, if would have made things difficult for moving forward with the podcast. But we’ve crossed that bridge now. Obviously, they recognised the quality within the show.
